Bronze Labrador Sculpture Testimonials
Take a read of some of our recent reviews from customers who have purchased or commissioned a labrador sculpture.
“The Labrador portrait arrived safely today. I am absolutely thrilled with it and already neighbours have visited to see it. It brings me so much peace and joy having lost my gorgeous girl so recently.“
“Thank you so much for bringing Hun, she is a beauty and will be treasured. So lovely to also receive the beautiful presented tools to keep her looking her best.”
“The Labrador is even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. I had had it in my favourites for a long time and finally decided to splurge. This beautiful sculpture was worth every penny.”
About Bronze Labrador sculptures by Tanya Russell MRBS
Tanya is best known for her animal sculptures, and is becoming particularly well known for her dog sculpture. She works in Foundry Bronze, Bronze Resin (also known as Cold Cast Bronze). Tanya has been a sculptor her whole life, and seriously started her study at sixteen years old, when she apprenticed with her mother and father, sculptors Lorne McKean FRBS and Edwin Russell FRBS.
Tanya’s passion is animals and animal welfare, and much of the work over her career has been done to raise money for animal charities, or raise awareness for animal welfare causes. 10% of proceeds from the sale of our bronze Labrador sculptures support The Dogs Trust.
Life-size Bronze Labrador Sculptures
Life-size bronze Labradors can make a great addition to any dog-loving home or garden, and they are particularly popular as in memoriam pieces for beloved pets that have passed away. Outdoor sculptures such as those in Tanya’s collection these perfectly capture the larger-than-life spirit and movement of Labradors. The Labrador Playing with Toy sculpture and Labrador Sitting On Step sculpture are particularly wonderful examples of this.
Small Bronze Labrador Sculptures
Small bronze Labrador statues are ideal for indoor display, including mantelpieces, shelves and windowsills. If you are looking for a smaller and more affordable way to add a bronze Labrador to your collection, a smaller piece such as the Playing Labrador sculpture could be more suitable.
For ideas on how to display your bronze Labrador sculpture, take a read of our article on how to display your bronze.
About Bronze Resin & Foundry Bronze
Most of our bronze Labrador statues are available in both bronze resin and foundry bronze.
Bronze resin is a bronze metal powder mixed with a resin to create the appearance of foundry bronze metal, but is more affordable and lightweight. Foundry bronze, however, refers to the poured molten metal that is cast solid or hollow, depending on size, at a bronze foundry (using the traditional lost wax process). It is more robust and will appreciate in value.
Read more about the differences between the two in our article on bronze resin vs foundry bronze.
