The beautiful bronze Maltese Terrier sculpture is a casting of an original sculpture. It is hand cast by a British foundry or resin caster and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. This is an original foundry or resin casting of the sculptor’s work that she has personally approved.
This casting is a perfect recreation of the original sculpture and bears the artist’s signature and its own unique edition number.

The inspiration behind the sculpture
This Maltese Terrier sculpture was modelled on Blossom. Blossom was commissioned in 2016 along with her companion Daisy, a Golden Retriever.
Blossom is quiet and sweet. She posed very well for me, and made it very easy for me to take all my photos and measurements. I remember she loved to be in your arms or in your lap more than anywhere else.
How it was made
I visited Blossom and took lots of photographs of her in a variety of poses. I watched her expressions and mannerisms, and heard about the way she behaved at home with her family. After that, with her owners, I decided which pose would suit her best, then proceeded to model Blossom in clay.
Once I’d sculpted Blossom a rubber mould was taken, with ‘keys’ placed in the rubber to ensure proper positioning. Then a shell of fibreglass was applied, to protect the mould and support it during the casting process.
