STANDING GREYHOUND SCULPTURE
This greyhound sculpture is modelled on Malcolm, a retired racing greyhound owned by Printmaker Sue Corke. Sue is the Head of Print at The Art Academy.
Malcolm maintains the extraordinary leg muscles of a racer and has a wonderfully sweet temperament.
I’ve often found that greyhound owners are some of the most loyal owners to the breed. I have a lot of admiration for organisations dedicated to finding ex-racers homes, like Forever Hounds Trust. And I hope that the sport will continue its improvements in the welfare of these wonderful animals.
This bronze Standing Greyhound bears Tanya’s signature and unique edition number. Your casting of the greyhound sculpture will be personally approved and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
10% of the proceeds from this bronze dog sculpture support ‘The Dogs Trust’ animal charity.

Sculpture Description, Bases & Fixings
This delightful Greyhound statue is sculpted by artist Tanya Russell, who is well known for her life-like wildlife and animal sculptures. Tanya has a passion for improving the welfare of the animals she sculpts and 10% of all proceeds from the Greyhound statue will go to the ‘Dogs Trust’, a charity that provides sanctuary and rehoming services for dogs in the UK and also lobbies for welfare policy changes all over the world.
The Standing Greyhound is an open edition sculpture, and your piece will be a superb recreation of the original bronze sculpture from a mould.
If you would like this statue to be mounted on a stone or wooden base, please contact me for a quote.
How The Sculpture Was Made
The small Greyhound sculpture was modelled in wax, over a steel and aluminium armature for support. After the statue was finished a rubber mould was taken, with ‘keys’ placed in the rubber to ensure proper positioning. Then a shell of fibreglass was applied, to protect the mould and support it during the casting process.

Absolutely beautiful piece of sculpture, captures the elegance and regality of the greyhound. Very impressed with how well my return was handled and that I received a replacement quickly and professionally without any concern. Would definitely buy from this artist again and would have no hesitation buying or recommending to family and friends.
Magnifique ! Je l’imaginais un peu plus grand mais il est magnifique !
